Job summary

Indiana University Health is recruiting for a full-time Imaging Services Supervisor at Bloomington Hospital. The role oversees daily operations, coordinates staff across Diagnostic Radiology procedures and ensures adherence to department protocols.

The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years of radiology experience, hold a ARRT RT(R) certification, ISDH license, and BLS certification, and be capable of positioning patients and maneuvering equipment as needed.

Qualifications

  • Requires 5-7 years of relevant radiology experience.
  • BLS certification through the AHA is required.
  • Must hold ARRT RT(R) certification and Indiana ISDH radiologic technologist license.
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws related to imaging services.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct and coordinate daily workflows of imaging personnel.
  • Supervise Imaging Services staff performing Diagnostic Radiology procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with department rules, procedures and protocols.

Job description

This is a full-time position located at Bloomington Hospital. The hours will be M - F, 7am - 3:30pm. On call and Holidays required.

Working with the Manager and/or Director, is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating the daily functions and workflow of assigned departmental personnel. Supervises Imaging Services personnel involved in Diagnostic Radiology procedures, including routine procedures performed in the surgical suite. Ensures department rules, regulations, procedures and protocols are properly followed.

  • Requires 5-7 years of relevant experience.
  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
  • Requires ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.
  • Requires active status as a Registered Technologist - Radiography, RT(R) through the American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT).
  • Requires Radiologic Technologist license from Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH).
  • Requires knowledge of state and federal laws relative to assigned area.
