UVA Health in Charlottesville seeks an experienced Manager of Diagnostic Imaging to lead a multidisciplinary team of about 55 staff, including Technologists, Interns, and Radiology Clinical Associates, and to guide daily operations and staff development.

The role emphasizes collaboration across disciplines, safety, and alignment with organizational priorities, including managing upcoming equipment upgrades and Emergency Department renovations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.
• 3 years progressively more responsible experience required.
• License / Certification in at least one clinical modality (i.e. X-ray, Sonography, MRI, CT, Nuc Med)

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and people leadership for a multidisciplinary team of approximately 55 Diagnostic Radiology Technologists, Imaging Interns, and Radiology Clinical Associates.
• Lead three supervisors and coordinate day-to-day imaging operations and staff development.
• Collaborate with Radiology leadership and other departments to ensure safe, efficient patient care and support department renovations and equipment upgrades.
• Balance real-time operational oversight with the thoughtful development of supervisors and frontline imaging professionals.
• Participate in on-call coverage approximately every five to six weeks.
