Indiana University Health, Inc. is hiring a full-time Imaging Services Assistant to support the Imaging Services department during off-hours and weekend operations. This role blends clinical and administrative tasks to ensure a positive patient experience and efficient workflow.

The position involves clerical duties like scheduling, registration, and enrollment, plus patient care tasks under supervision. A hospital setting and customer service experience are preferred; Basic Life Support

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0-3 years of experience preferred.
• Medical terminology knowledge preferred; hospital/medical environment experience preferred; customer service experience preferred.
• May require Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Mansioni

• Assist under supervision of radiologists, technologists, or radiology nurses with imaging exams and related clerical tasks.
• Schedule & registration of patients, screening, reception, release of information, and inventory management.
• Transport and assist patients with procedures, prep, IV access lines, and documentation as trained.
• All other duties as assigned.

This is a full-time Imaging Services Assistant opportunity at IU Health.

Schedule

• Wednesday & Friday: 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM
• Saturday & Sunday: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
• No call requirements

Position Overview

This role supports the Imaging Services department during off-hours and weekend operations by assisting with both clinical and administrative responsibilities. The selected candidate will play an important role in ensuring a positive patient experience while helping the department maintain efficient workflow and patient throughput.

Job Duties, Tasks, and Qualifications

• Works under the supervision of a radiologist, technologist, or radiology nurse. Performs clerical and/or patient care duties necessary to assist in performing imaging exams.
• Clerical duties may include, but are not limited to patient scheduling & registration, patient screening, reception, release of information, and maintaining inventory.
• Patient care duties may include, but are not limited to transporting and transferring patients, preparing patients for procedures, discussing exams and preps with patients, starting IV access lines, and assisting with minimally invasive procedures as approved by regional leadership and with documentation of training and competency.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• 0-3 years of experience.
• Medical Terminology, preferred.
• Experience in a hospital or medical environment, preferred.
• Customer service experience, preferred.May require Basic Life Support certification.
