Job summary

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is seeking an Imaging Sciences Fabrication and Design Core Director to build and lead a flagship fabrication core. You will recruit and manage a small team, develop sustainable operations, and plan capital equipment, space renovations and complex vendor engagements.

You will work with department leaders to innovate, maintain cutting-edge fabrication and instrumentation capabilities, and drive collaboration across cores while shaping imaging science growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in a relevant technical field (industry or academia).
• Experience leading mid-large teams; strong leadership and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, build and run a state-of-the-art fabrication and instrumentation core.
• Develop sustainable financial and operational structures; hire 2–4 staff.
• Oversee space renovations, equipment purchases, and vendor relations.
• Maintain knowledge of fabrication methods; foster collaboration across cores and departments.
• Lead budgeting, stakeholder communications and strategic planning.
