Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking an experienced nurse leader to manage Imaging services, including day-to-day operations, staffing, and QA/PI initiatives. The role requires strong nursing leadership, extensive clinical experience, and departmental collaboration to ensure quality patient care.

The ideal candidate will have a nursing degree and 5 years of inpatient/outpatient nursing experience, with preferred critical care and supervisory background.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day operations of Imaging services, including off-site locations.
• Oversees staffing, scheduling, and staff performance; provides staff education.
• Leads Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement activities for the department.
• Participates in department budget preparation and management.
• Acts as liaison between customers, technical staff, medical staff, and other departments.
• Provides complex nursing care, medication administration during procedures, and patient advocacy.
• Ensures education and training for staff and patients; demonstrates supervisory skills.

Responsibilities: Manages the day-to-day operations of various areas of Imaging to include off-site locations of the hospital. Responsibilities include staffing, scheduling, monitoring staff performance, providing staff education, and implementing and directing Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement activities for the department. Participates in department budget preparation and management. Acts as a liaison between customers, technical staff, medical staff, and other departments within the hospital.Able to provide complex nursing care, which includes the monitoring and administering of medications required during procedures. Performs related record-keeping and patient care functions and serves as patient advocate. Ensures proper education and training to staff and patients. Provides supervisory skills consistent with creativity, attention to detail and consistent follow through.

Work Experience

• 5 years nursing experience in a hospital (inpatient roles) or clinical (outpatient roles) setting Required
• Critical care background and previous nursing supervisory experience Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNCL Multistate License Upon Hire Required and
