Job summary

FirstHealth of the Carolinas in North Carolina is seeking an Imaging Registered Nurse to support multiple imaging modalities. You will prepare patients, educate and monitor during procedures, and assist with sedation under physician guidance.

The role emphasizes safety, clinical competency, and effective communication with a diverse patient population. Experience in emergency or critical care is preferred, with strong teamwork and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina RN license or RN multi-state licensure privilege through the Nurse Licensure Compact required.
• Current BLS and ACLS.
• Prefer at least 1 year of Emergency or Critical Care nursing.

Responsibilities

• The Imaging RN works with technologists, PA, Radiologists and Vascular Surgeons in all the Imaging modalities.
• Prepares patients prior to procedures, provides patient education and discharge teaching, administers conscious sedation, monitors patients throughout procedures.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, and evaluate patient.
• Provides nursing care with consideration of the age group served within the health care system.
• Demonstrates appropriate use of equipment/supplies.
• Uses appropriate safety and infection control measures.
• Teaches/directs/advises/informs others in an appropriate professional manner.
• Reports/records information legibly and appropriately.
