Qualifications

• MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: AMA approved Radiologic Technology program.
• MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: ARRT, ARDMS or NMTCB certification.
• Additional qualifications include BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Attends and completes all required didactic training courses.
• Resident completes all supervised imaging procedures and documents per ARRT guidelines.
• Performs patient preparation, imaging procedures, and documentation for radiologists.
• Looks after patient comfort, answers questions, and records clinical history relevant to imaging.
• Ensures imaging quality, proper identification, and adherence to imaging protocols.
• Participates in quality control tests and dose reduction practices.
• Goals include ARRT certification within 3 months of program completion.
