Job Purpose
Operate radiologic equipment to produce clinical diagnostic images and perform routine diagnostic procedures following established standards. Provide patient care to all age groups (neonatal, pediatric, adult, geriatric).
Key Responsibilities
- Attend and complete all required didactic training courses.
- Complete all required supervised imaging procedures and document them according to ARRT guidelines.
- Perform and address tasks for each procedure including:
- Patient preparation and education: ensure comfort, cooperation, and provide psychological support.
- Solicit and record patient clinical history relevant to imaging.
- Document clinical information for radiologists.
- Respond to patient questions.
- Imaging procedures: select appropriate equipment and exposure factors, position patient and equipment, evaluate images for identification and diagnostic quality.
- Participate in performance, evaluation and recording of all quality control tests outlined by ARRT.
- Follow established imaging protocols for each exam.
- Adhere to Radiation Safety Policies and dose reduction principles.
- Become certified by ARRT within 3 months of completing the training program.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Operate various imaging equipment.
- Deliver SAFE care in accordance with the Alwaysafe program.
- Use AIDET with every encounter and be proficient with service recovery to provide exceptional patient experience.

Qualifications
- Minimum Education: Graduate of an AMA‑approved Radiologic Technology program.
- Minimum Experience: None.
- Minimum Licensure: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R).
- Additional: BLS certified.
