Job summary

The Division of Medical Physics at Stanford University seeks a Physical Science Research Associate (PSRP) to perform core research functions in Dr. Lei Xing's lab. The PSRP will program, collect, and reconstruct CT/PET scanner data under faculty supervision, contributing to ongoing projects and publications.

Qualifications

• Imaging experience and image reconstruction expertise.
• Bachelor’s degree in physics, bioengineering, computer science, or electrical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with faculty to support experiments and ensure safe operation of equipment.
• Manage lab safety and coordinate with EH&S for services.
• Analyze research data, develop statistical models, and interpret results.
• Run and calibrate equipment to collect data and optimize outcomes.
• Modify protocols based on literature and conference learnings.
• Train personnel for safe lab operation.
