Geisinger is seeking Radiologic Technologists to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, prepare and document medications and radiation exposure in line with federal/state laws and institutional policy. New graduates must obtain ARRT-R registry within 6 months of hire.

The role is primarily clinical, with a $30,000 sign-on bonus for eligible applicants, and a strong commitment to patient safety, quality imaging, and ongoing learning within a collaborative care environment.

Competenze

• ARRT-R registry must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Radiologic Technology.

Mansioni

• Ensures correct order is obtained, patient is properly identified and prepared for exam, and that clinical history is corroborated and appropriately documented while respecting confidentiality.
• Utilizes appropriate imaging protocol and optimizes technical factors while maximizing patient safety, optimizing patient care, and applying ALARA principles.
• Preparing and/or administering medications through vascular access site as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
• Evaluates images for proper positioning and quality and verifies archival storage and data transfer.
• Educating and monitoring students and other health care providers.
• Assisting the licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and specialized radiologic procedures.
• Performing diagnostic radiographic and noninterpretive fluoroscopic procedures as prescribed, including outside the Radiology Department.
