Job summary

Geisinger Medical Center (GMC) is seeking Radiologic Technologists to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, administer medications, and ensure patient safety following ALARA principles. New graduates must obtain ARRT-R within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT-R registry within 6 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures correct order, patient identification, and proper exam preparation while maintaining confidentiality.
• Uses imaging protocols and ALARA principles to optimize factors and patient safety.
• Administers medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
• Evaluates images for quality and verifies data transfer and archiving.
• Educates and mentors students and other health care providers.
• Assists licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized radiologic procedures.
• Performs diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures in various settings including OR, Endoscopy, ICU.
