Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred.
• Graduate of a Radiological Technology program.
• Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Basic Life Support.
• Current license with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Responsibilities

• Review patient history and educate patient regarding procedures to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Prepare equipment and select exposure factors and imaging parameters.
• Implement safety standards and perform quality control on equipment; troubleshoot malfunctions as needed.
• Position patient and perform imaging; analyze results and address image quality issues; document and report results.
• Performs other duties as assigned within current scope.
