Qualifications

• Graduation from a radiologic technology program.
• ARRT-R registration within six months is required.
• Ability to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Knowledge of radiation safety and patient protection.
• Excellent communication with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct orders, verify patient identity, and document clinical history.
• Apply imaging protocols, optimize factors, and follow ALARA principles.
• Prepare, administer, and document medications or radiation exposure as prescribed.
• Evaluate images for quality and proper positioning; ensure data is archived or transferred correctly.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers.
• Assist licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized procedures, including outside the radiology department.
