Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to provide diagnostic and therapeutic imaging in a clinical setting while adhering to ALARA principles and ensuring patient safety and accurate identification.

The role involves following imaging protocols, preparing patients, and assisting physicians with fluoroscopic procedures, contributing to education of staff and students and maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• New graduates must obtain ARRT-R registry within 6 months.
• Applicants hired after a specified date must complete steps for advancing to level 2 within 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct orders, verify patient identity, and document clinical history while maintaining confidentiality.
• Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and maximize patient safety.
• Prepare and/or administer medications via vascular access under practitioner’s prescription.
• Assess images for proper positioning, quality, and ensure data transfer or storage.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers.
• Assist practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized procedures, including those outside the Radiology Department.
