Job summary

The University of Miami seeks a Manager of Radiology to lead UMHC imaging operations in Miami, reporting to the Director of Imaging. Leads budgeting, equipment evaluation, and policy development to advance patient care and efficiency across the GCRB Diagnostic Center and related sites.

The role collaborates with Radiologists and Technologists, ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality service while driving strategic initiatives and staff leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in healthcare operations with at least 3 years in radiology services.
• ARRT certification strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Exemplary professionalism and leadership.
• MRI Safety Officer certification within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Manage imaging operations and budgeting across the department.
• Evaluate equipment/services for cost-effectiveness and efficiency; approve major purchases.
• Maintain financial, statistical, and personnel records for areas of responsibility.
• Prepare financial reports and manage department budgets and capital expenditures.
• Coordinate purchases of supplies and equipment and payment processing.
• Collaborate with Radiologists and Technologists to implement services and processes.
• Hire, supervise, and evaluate staff per policy; enforce work rules and scheduling.
• Develop and update department policies and procedures; align with strategic goals.
• Ensure accreditation/regulatory compliance and monitor quality of care.
• Promote customer service excellence and liaise with stakeholders across departments.
• Oversee MRI Center functions and safety programs; support research initiatives.
