Vascular Technologist

Location: Louisville, KY

Schedule: Full-time, Day Shift

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Vascular Technologist to join our team. This Tech will work 4, 10 hour shifts weekly, and be required to take call every 7th weekend and also once each week. Under the direction of a surgeon and/or radiologist, the Vascular Technologist performs duties including assisting with special procedures and executing radiographic procedures. Key responsibilities include producing radiographic images for vascular and neurological studies, preparing equipment, and assisting in setting up sterile trays, drugs, and opaque media. The technologist also ensures supplies are available, reports malfunctions, and assists in other departmental tasks. Additionally, the Vascular Technologist participates in emergency callbacks, is part of the stroke team, follows universal precautions, supports OR X-ray when volume is low, and performs other duties as assigned. Requirements:

• Graduate of accredited Radiology Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year relevant work experience.
• KBMIRT certification at hire; ARRT within 90 days.
• Vascular-Interventional Registry required; registry-eligible candidates must obtain certification within two years, with 16 weeks of in-house training beforehand.
• Current BCLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Residence within 30 minutes of the hospital when on-call.
