Job summary

Adventist Health Hanford is seeking a patient transport assistant to safely move patients to and from the diagnostic imaging department. You will assist patients from wheelchair to exam table and provide direct patient care as directed by technologists or radiologists.

In this role you will serve as a liaison between technologists and nursing staff, ensure proper handoffs, maintain HIPAA compliance, and keep stretchers, wheelchairs, and exam rooms orderly while supporting the imaging workflow

Qualifications

• High School Education/GED or equivalent is required.
• Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports patients between rooms and the diagnostic imaging department.
• Assist patients from wheelchair to exam table, stretcher or toilet and back as needed.
• Provide direct patient care as directed by technologists or radiologists.
• Serve as liaison between imaging technologists and unit nursing staff during handoffs.
• Check documentation, process paperwork, and ensure HIPAA confidentiality.
