Job summary

RR Donnelley in Saint Charles, MO is seeking operators for two shifts to run high‑resolution digital print equipment. You will program, prepare, and release print jobs, maintaining logs and manifests, while ensuring color quality and image accuracy.

You will also manage supplies and inventory to support production targets. The role requires advanced knowledge of digital print systems, color theory, and finishing processes.

Qualifications

• Requires advanced knowledge of digital print and/or inkjet imaging equipment setup, adjustment, operating procedures.
• Ability to diagnose, solve, and correct operating problems affecting quality and timeliness.
• Requires advanced knowledge of color theory and ability to adjust the imaging to customer specifications.
• Excellent knowledge of file formats for digital print.
• Excellent knowledge and ability to set up feed rollers, tensioning, timing and inline finishing per job specifications.
• May instruct junior level operators how to complete required corrective adjustments.
• Typically, corrective adjustments require considering symptoms, causes and remedies.
• Other duties as requested.
• Train, communicate with other employees.

Responsibilities

• Operate high resolution, variable print proprietary imaging equipment.
• Program and prepare jobs for printing.
• Maintain daily print job production logs and daily delivery manifests.
• Setup, program and release jobs from print queue.
• Adjust image position, color quality and resolution, perforations and folds on paper.
• Monitor quality of job output for correctness and image quality.
• Order supplies such as ink, chemical solutions, blankets and rollers, paper, tabs, and other items as needed.
• Maintain inventory levels.
