Job summary

Middlesex Health is seeking a Radiology Coordinator to supervise daily imaging operations in the Urgent Care Middletown setting. You will coordinate workflow, ensure quality control, and mentor technologists.

The role requires ARRT eligibility, JRCERT-accredited radiography training, and CT-state licensure as applicable. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential; the position offers a first-shift on-site schedule and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a JRCERT accredited Radiography program.
• ARRT Certification/Eligible in good standing
• State of Connecticut License/Eligible
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily imaging operations and QA in Urgent Care.
• Function as a Medical Assistant to room patients; obtain vitals, reconcile medications, and interview patients to identify chief complaints.
• Provide mentorship to staff and students and assist with problem solving.
• Perform regular QC checks and coordinate machine maintenance as needed.
• Conduct QA checks for each technician and provide coaching and training as necessary.
• Record and address errors or incidents with technicians.
• Act as liaison between Radiology and Urgent Care clinics to ensure up-to-date practice for all techs.
• Demonstrate initiative, good judgment and clinical expertise across imaging procedures and mentor staff.
• Apply teamwork principles in all patient service activities.
