Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to provide advanced imaging services within the Imaging Services department. The role involves performing radiologic procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining high-quality imaging records.

You will mentor staff, support accreditation efforts, and collaborate with physicians to optimize patient care across diverse age groups. This position emphasizes leadership, technical proficiency, and commitment to patient safety.

Qualifications

• Wisconsin radiographer license required.
• Registered Technologist (RT) with ARRT certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and direct staff, assign tasks, and review performance.
• Assist in interviewing, staff development, and policy updates.
• Participate in modality accreditation and quality initiatives.
• Perform radiologic procedures including fluoroscopy and C-arm as needed.
• Explain procedures to patients and address questions, ensuring safety.
• Position patients and select exposure factors with radiation safety.
• Identify patient and label images; ensure exam accuracy.
• Collaborate with physicians and other providers; work independently when needed.
• Maintain records in RIS and document billing codes correctly.
• Deliver age-appropriate patient care across the lifespan.
