Job summary

Radiology Ltd. is seeking a full-time Verification Specialist to join our team in Tucson, AZ. The role requires verifying insurance eligibility and obtaining necessary authorizations for scheduled radiology exams, and communicating patient financial responsibilities prior to arrival.

You will work Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM at the Wilmot office on the east side of Tucson. This entry-level position offers growth opportunities, comprehensive benefits, and a supportive team in Southern Arizona.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required.
General skills test must be passed.
Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
Prior authorization experience is helpful but not required.
Medical terminology is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

Review patient insurance coverage and eligibility; correct and update in our system when necessary.
Validate and obtain referrals, pre-certification and/or prior authorizations via fax, online, or telephone.
Communicate with patients, providers and/or clinical staff.
Document prior authorization information into the patient EMR for accurate claims filing.
Determine insurance deductible, co-insurance, co-pays, and out-of-pocket costs and communicate to patients prior to arrival.
Assist front desk with day-to-day operations as needed.
Complete additional duties as assigned.
