Job summary

Meta Reality Labs' Camera Architecture team is seeking a Hardware Engineer Intern to help build the quantitative foundation behind camera architecture decisions. You will work with architects and sensor, lens, module, and AI teams to develop first-principles models and run trade studies linking hardware parameters to product features.

The internship is 12 weeks long. You will own a defined project end-to-end, present recommendations to the team, and contribute to on-device vision and AI

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• Experience with imaging systems, optics, image sensors, signal/image processing, or computational photography
• Experience with physics-based modeling, simulation, and data analysis in Python or MATLAB
• Ability to communicate technical results to both technical and non-technical audiences

Responsibilities

• Own a well-scoped project end to end, from problem definition through analysis and a recommendation presented to the team.
• Develop first-principles models and run trade studies that connect camera hardware parameters to product features.
• Collaborate with camera architects and sensor, lens, module, and AI teams; contribute to on-device CV/AI performance work.
