Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking an imaging equipment technician to provide complete repair, calibration, and preventive maintenance of diagnostic imaging systems. You will promote safety, meet regulatory requirements, and maintain records while supporting clinicians with timely equipment status.

Requires 4 years of imaging repair experience; an Associate of Science in Biomedical Technology or related field is required, and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering is preferred.

Qualifications

  • 4 years of experience in diagnostic imaging equipment repair.
  • Associate degree in Biomedical Technology or related field.
  • BS in Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures proper maintenance of all imaging equipment, including warranty, leased, and loaner equipment.
  • Diagnoses problems, repairs to circuit board level, and re-calibrates equipment.
  • Tracks, schedules, and completes preventive maintenance checks by due dates.
  • Maintains ongoing active communications with clinicians regarding equipment status.
  • Coordinates outside repairs with radiology equipment manufacturers.
  • Assists in or performs incident investigations.
  • Ensures equipment is properly tested before being returned to service.
