Job summary

Intelas, a Compass Healthcare company, is seeking a BMET II to perform preventive maintenance, calibrations, and repairs on imaging equipment across multiple sites in the United States. You will coordinate with manufacturers, provide on-call support, and maintain QA records to ensure regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has an associates degree or military biomedical training, plus at least two years’ experience with imaging devices and radiology equipment repair.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or military training in biomedical tech.
• Minimum two years experience with imaging equipment manufacturers or related fields.
• Two years repair experience on radiology equipment.
• Knowledge of modalities such as radiology, MRI, ultrasound, CT, cath lab, and linear accelerators.
• Certification (CRES) preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Willing to be on-call as required.
• Willing to serve as a technical resource to others.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventive maintenance and calibrations on imaging equipment.
• Perform major repairs by replacing defective components per manufacturer specs.
• Assist with diagnostic imaging cross training of BMET Technicians.
• Coordinate with manufacturers to resolve equipment issues.
• Provide emergency on-call support.
• Research and order repair parts within budget parameters.
• Compile QA records and ensure compliance with specs and policies.
• Document asset actions per department practices.
• Perform duties of a BMET II/III as needed.
