Job summary

InterMed is seeking an Imaging Field Service Engineer in Albuquerque, NM to perform repairs and preventative maintenance on hospital diagnostic imaging equipment. The role requires independent work, maintaining records, documenting results, and coordinating outside resources for repairs.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in electronics or equivalent military experience.
• Internship completed with an accredited program.
• Experience with imaging equipment repair is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs and calibrations to diagnostic imaging equipment and maintains records by filing accurate and timely reports.
• Responsible for devices including general X-ray, CT, MRI, digital X-ray, ultrasound, mammography, and mobile X-ray.
• Solves problems using analytical thought processes across internal and external resources.
• Assists other personnel as required.
• Interacts with vendors, researches resources and suppliers.
• Complies with facility and company policy guidelines.
• Maintains an orderly work area.
• Maintains professional appearance and conduct with staff and customers.
• Participates in educational opportunities and stays current on technology.
• Understands NFPA-99 and electrical leakage limits with understanding of biological parameters.
• Assists Senior Management as needed.
• Performs other duties as required within scope.
