Job summary

South Jersey Radiology Associates seeks a Reading Room Assistant to support technologists in X-Ray, Mammography and Ultrasound departments. You will escort patients, verify information, and help maintain confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.

Requirements include a high school diploma, strong attention to detail, and good computer skills. Prior medical setting experience is preferred. Schedule is Mon-Fri 7:30a-4p, on-site with a professional appearance expected.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience in a medical setting preferred.
Detail oriented and able to multitask.
Strong verbal and written communication with patients, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

Escort patients from main waiting area to department for studies.
Review and verify patient’s information for accuracy.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and Corporate Compliance regulations.
Have patient change; if indicated for study.
Daily computer keyboard use.
Monitor modality work list.
Print and/or scan documents into patient accounts.
Release images to patients when necessary.
Communicate information to radiologists, technologists, patients and referring physician offices.
Display a well-groomed professional image.
Punctuality and regular attendance.
