Arcadiascience is seeking an Imaging Specialist to operate and support our microscopy core in Emeryville, California. The ideal candidate will hold a PhD and have over three years of hands-on experience in an imaging core environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience running or supporting an imaging core or advanced microscopy lab.
• Proficiency in confocal, widefield, and super-resolution microscopy.
• Experience designing imaging experiments on live samples across multiple organisms.

Responsibilities

• Operate and troubleshoot microscopy and spectroscopy instruments.
• Consult with scientists on imaging experiments and workflows.
• Build and maintain automated acquisition and analysis workflows.

Skills

Hands-on experience with imaging techniques

Technical fluency with microscopy

Programming experience in Python

Strong communication skills

Education

PhD in cell biology, biophysics, or bioengineering
