Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• BLS or CPR certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Healthcare environment experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Determines if adequate equipment is available for use.
• Disinfects equipment and reports malfunctions as needed.
• Maintains the safety of the patient while in transit.
• Knows what to do in case of patient emergency, including calling a code or getting help.
• Transports patients, equipment, oxygen, and IVs using safe techniques.
• Prevents patient falls and prioritizes patient safety at all times.
• Provides patients with information on wait times for appointments.
• Provides receptionist and general office assistance to patients and staff.
• Receives and directs incoming calls within the department and takes messages as needed.
• Serves as a resource to patients and families and transports patients across Health Center areas.
• Verifies with nursing personnel any special needs of the patient.

Department: radiology

Hours: Part-Time, 24 hours a week required

Required : High School Diploma, and BLS within 90 days of hire

Pay: based on experience, starting at $16.54/hour

Responsibilities

• Determines if adequate equipment is available for use.
• Disinfects equipment and reports malfunctions as needed.
• Maintains the safety of the patient while in transit.
• Responsible to know what to do in case of patient emergency, i.e., call a patient code or get help when necessary.
• Practices safe techniques in transporting patients, oxygen and I.V.'s.
• Proactively prevents patient falls, maintains patient safety as first priority at all times.
• Provides patients with information regarding length of wait time for an appointment.
• Provides receptionist and general office assistance to patients, visitors and other Health System staff.
• Receives incoming telephone calls and directs them throughout the department.
• Takes messages when necessary.
• Serves as resource to patients and families, Transports patients throughout various areas of the Health Center.
• Verifies with nursing personnel the special needs of the patient.
