Job summary

Cardinal Points Imaging in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Part-time, PRN Tech Assistant to support radiology staff and serve as the first clinical contact for patients at our Midtown imaging center.

Under supervision of the Radiology Medical Director, you will help with patient flow, imaging safety compliance, and teamwork to improve clinical practice. A high school diploma and phlebotomy or medical assistant experience are required; BLS within 60 days.

Qualifications

• One year as a trained Phlebotomist and/or Medical Assistant experience required.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.
• Ability to work efficiently as an extension of certified/registered staff or licensed independent practitioner.
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely.
• Demonstrates understanding of human anatomy and medical terminology.
• Knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and retrieving of data.

Responsibilities

• Is responsible for supporting the radiology staff and providing the first clinical point of contact for patients.
• Facilitates the patient flow to minimize patient wait times and maximize the utilization of resources.
• Demonstrates competence with all imaging safety compliance initiatives.
• Serves as part of the imaging center team and seeks as well as provides feedback for improved clinical practice.
