Job summary

vVARDIS seeks a Research Scientist for its Michigan dental materials lab to design and execute in vitro remineralization studies and advanced imaging. You will prepare specimens, operate TEM/STEM and MicroCT, and develop robust protocols for reproducible results.

Reporting to the Lab Director, you will analyze data, generate reports, and collaborate with the University of Michigan facilities and the Plymouth lab to advance shared biomaterials research.

Qualifications

• PhD or MS with substantial imaging experience required.

Responsibilities

• Design and run in vitro remineralization studies on enamel and dentin.
• Plan and execute TEM/STEM and MicroCT studies on carious lesions and interfaces.
• Develop, optimize, and validate imaging protocols with reproducible workflows.
• Prepare hard-tissue specimens for imaging and analysis.
• Communicate results via reports and presentations to internal teams.
