Mercy Hospital Springfield - Imaging is seeking an entry-level Imaging Assistant to support patient care in the Imaging Services department. You will assist with basic tasks, stock supplies, and help keep equipment clean and ready for use.

This role requires effective communication, the ability to stand for long periods, and the capacity to respond calmly to emergencies. A high school diploma and BLS certification (or within 30 days) are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BLS certification or completed within 30 days of hire.
• Able to lift/move patients; standing/walking; ability to work under stress; communicate effectively.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct patient care in Imaging Services.
• Assist with supplies stocking and equipment cleaning.
• Perform duties per Mercy Service Standards and respond to emergencies.

Full-Time: Days

Overview

Provides direct patient care consistent with the established standard of practice, the goals of Mercy, and the Mercy Code of Conduct. Responsible for supplies, stocking, equipment cleaning and patient care in Imaging Services as needed. Performs related duties as assigned. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification/Registration: Current BLS certification or completed within 30 days of hire.
• Other: This individual must be capable of: lifting, moving, and transporting patients; continual standing and walking; recognizing emergency situations; adapting to stressful situations; communicating effectively. Equipment Used: This individual should be proficient in the basic use of computers.
• Physical Requirements: Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
