Job summary

Leidos is actively hiring an Imagery Scientist (EO) in Alexandria, VA. The role focuses on geospatial analysis and imagery data curation to support machine learning model testing and evaluation. You will curate EO imagery from emergent sensors and tailor datasets for labeled data preparation.

The position requires EO imagery analytics experience, multi-INT capabilities, and a TS/SCI with potential poly. Candidates with a related bachelor's degree and strong programming/scripting skills are

Qualifications

Experience with electro-optical imagery analytical products and multi-INT analysis.
Ability to use structured, unstructured, and semi-structured data and visualization tools with programming and scripting.
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field; additional experience may substitute for degree.
Active TS/SCI with ability to be approved for a Poly.

Responsibilities

Leverage multi-INT data, with emphasis on EO, to curate imagery from emergent sensors.
Curated imagery prioritized for creating labeled data to support model evaluation.
Identify objects of interest and characteristics for dataset diversity and ML evaluation.
Recommend data-curation strategies and data-gap identification for robust datasets.
Assist EO lead in assessing differences between new sensor characteristics and current platforms.
Assess metadata, data formats, data structures for ETL and data ingestion changes.
