Job summary

Saint Peter’s Health Care System is seeking an Image Processing Assistant for the CT Unit. The role handles patient reception, imaging request processing, phone inquiries, and coordination with Radiology Scheduling, including patient transport. Strong communication, basic computer skills, and medical terminology knowledge are valued.

The position is based in New Jersey, with competitive base pay and comprehensive benefits. Full-time status and site-based work are expected.

Image Processing Assistant
CT Unit

The Image Processing Assistant will:

• Receive patients, and their families and directing them to the appropriate areas
• Process all radiology imaging requests
• Answer phones
• As needed, act as a back up to the Radiology Scheduling Staff, schedules routine appointments and explains any necessary preparations with complete accuracy
• Patient transport

Requirements:

• Requires HS Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Solid administrative skills to compose short correspondence and memos.
• Superior communication skills to interact with our patients as well as internal and external customers.
• Must be computer literate, possess the ability to adapt to new systems and master them upon training.
• Intermediate technical skills necessary as well as the ability to communicate technical information to individuals or in a small group setting.
• Problem solving and analytical skills required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Salary Range:17.00 - 22.95 USD

We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.

The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
