Job summary

KLA is seeking researchers to innovate and craft new image processing algorithms for their inspection products in a hybrid setting in Ann Arbor, MI. You will contribute to algorithm development, prototyping, and productization with a strong emphasis on vision techniques.

The role demands hands-on experience with MATLAB/Python, C++ on Linux, and full-stack data/ UI integration. Hybrid work 3+ days in office supports collaboration and growth.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of academic or work experience in Image Processing (spectral/spatial filtering techniques, model-based methods and inverse problems, etc.)
• Prototyping Algorithms using MATLAB or Python, and implementing algorithms in C++ software under Linux is highly preferred
• Full stack hands-on experience with data and backend infrastructure and front-end and user interface for algorithms
• Familiarity with Linear and Nonlinear Optimization techniques, CUDA/GPU Programming frameworks (e.g., Keras), and Data Analysis and Visualization tools
• Having a strong understanding of innovative research in Conventional image processing algorithms.
• Hands on experience in an industry setting solving computer vision challenges, strong image processing fundamentals

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize algorithms for KLAs innovative inspection products.
• Provide technical expertise to support teammates, collaborators, and customers with proofs of concepts and evaluation of new algorithms.
