Job summary

Tech Etch is seeking an Expose Operator to handle ultraviolet exposure equipment and Mylar photo tools to create images on materials from the coating department. The role involves running conveyor developing equipment and baking ovens to complete imaging before etching and related steps.

You will read and apply special instructions, maintain tools, report defects, and work with the team to meet production schedules while adhering to safety regulations and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate UV light exposure equipment and associated tooling.
• Register and maintain photo tools for use.
• Execute exposing and developing steps per instructions.
• Read and apply special instructions as applicable.
• Report defects or issues to Lead.
• Keep work area and machines clean and safe per regulations.
• Perform preventive maintenance per PM charts.
• Complete tasks per production schedules with minimal supervision.
• Collaborate with peers and leadership to meet demands.

Summary / Objective

Expose operators also use conveyor developing equipment and large baking ovens to finish the imaging process in preparation for etching and other operations.

Expose operators use ultraviolet light equipment and Mylar photo tools or laser direct imaging electronic files to create images on materials received from the coating department. Expose operators also use conveyor developing equipment and large baking ovens to finish the imaging process in preparation for etching and other operations.

Essential Functions

• Check, maintains and registers photo tools for use.
• Perform exposing processes per general instructions to achieve uniform image of customer product.
• Perform developing processes per general instructions to remove unexposed resist and bake sheets in preparation for etch.
• Read and applies special instructions when applicable.
• Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department Lead.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
• Perform prescribed preventive maintenance on machines as required per P.M. charts.
• Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision.
• Work as a team member with peers and leadership to achieve production demands.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (3:30pm – 12:00a.m. for second shift). Occasional overtime as deemed by management and production needs. Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.

Salary Range: $17.50-$25.00/hour

This is the full salary range for the position. Most new hires can expect to start around $17.50/hour.

Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
