Daifuku Intralogistics America is seeking a skilled Structural Steel Detailer to join our team. You will coordinate with Structural Engineering, prepare fabrication drawings, and develop detailing procedures to optimize steel detailing processes for large distribution centers and industrial sites.

Ideal candidates have an Associates degree in structural/design disciplines and 5+ years of detailing experience, with strong proficiency in Advance Steel, Revit, and AutoCAD.

Formación

• Associates degree in Structural, Architectural, or Mechanical design or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with Advance Steel, Revit and AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate with Structural Engineering to review project designs and develop detailing requirements.
• Prepare fabrication drawings and models using Advance Steel, AutoCAD, and Revit.
• Develop steel erection drawings, deck layouts, and flooring plans for field installation.
• Generate BOMs for fabricated steel, decking, and flooring components.
• Assist Engineers with layout, detailing, and design of new structures and modifications.
• Travel to project sites for field verification and coordination.

Job Summary

Coordinate with Engineering to create and manage 3D steel detailing models of platforms, structures and catwalks supporting and servicing material handling equipment in large distribution centers and industrial sites. Prepare fabrication drawings, CNC files, bills of material and installation drawings. Work with Engineering Manager to develop and refine detailing systems and procedures to optimize the steel detailing process and improve integration with upstream and downstream processes.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

• Coordinate with the Structural Engineering team to review project designs, establish detailing requirements, and develop project schedules and milestone dates.
• Prepare detailed fabrication drawings and models using Advance Steel, AutoCAD, and Revit.
• Collaborate with the Structural Engineering team to identify, evaluate, and resolve design and detailing issues.
• Develop steel erection drawings, deck layouts, and flooring plans to support field installation activities.
• Generate bills of material (BOMs) for fabricated steel, decking, and flooring components to support purchasing and fabrication operations.
• Assist Structural Engineers with the layout, detailing, and design of new structures and modifications to existing storage systems using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Conduct occasional travel to project sites for field verification, coordination, and construction support.
• Evaluate project detailing solutions to optimize project efficiency, constructability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Review, optimize and document detailing procedures for efficiency, accuracy and cost effectiveness

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements

• Associates degree in Structural, Architectural, or Mechanical design or equivalent experience
• Preferred 5+ years of structural steel detailing experience
• Previous material handling or construction experience is a plus

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements

• Proficiency with Advance Steel, Revit and AutoCAD
• Proficiency with SolidWorks is a plus
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Ability to learn the material handling business and assist across teams and divisions within Daifuku
• Ability to handle multiple project assignments and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced results oriented environment
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers and vendors
• Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines
• Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented
• Must be able to speak, read and understand the English language
