Job summary

The ARC of Butte County in Chico, California, seeks an Independent Living Skills (ILS) Instructor to work one-on-one with adults with developmental disabilities. You will teach problem-solving, home management, and social skills to build independence and community participation.

Schedule is Monday–Friday 8 am–5 pm. Pay is $17.50 per hour plus a $3.10 travel stipend. You will travel between client homes and community activities using your own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized skill development for daily living, social, and community activities.
• Support clients in attaining personal goals through structured instruction.
• Monitor progress and adjust strategies as needed.
• Drive between community settings and transport clients using a personal vehicle.
• Support community integration and social participation.
• Collaborate with families and other professionals for coordinated care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of services and progress.
• Other duties as assigned.
