Job summary

Localizationacademy seeks Romanian linguists to support U.S. Department of Health and Human Services with interpretation and translation at ILR Level 2+ or higher.

Travel across the United States is required, with accommodations for flights and rental cars provided when local relocation is not possible. Responsibilities include on-site interpretation for ORR programs and remote support as needed, ensuring accurate communication between care staff, unaccompanied minors, and staff across language

Qualifications

• ILR Level 2+ proficiency in English and Romanian.
• Ability to interpret and translate accurately in sensitive settings.
• Strong discretion and professional judgment in communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person interpretation at ORR programs and locations when needed.
• Deliver remote interpretation via telephone or videoconference as required.
• Facilitate understanding between care staff, UC/UAM/URM in native languages.
• Translate documents between English and Romanian and other languages as needed.
