Job summary

Sight & Sound is seeking an Illustrator & Graphic Designer to join our Graphics Team. You will concept and execute artwork for advertising campaigns, marketing initiatives, and retail product development across print and digital platforms for all company branches.

The Illustrator & Graphic Designer advances the mission of Sight & Sound by working within a multidisciplinary Graphics Team to concept and execute the creative artwork for advertising campaigns, marketing initiatives, and retail product development across both print and digital platforms for all company branches.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Create original digital illustrations, concept art, and digital paintings.
• Design key art and promotional imagery for productions, special events, and branded experiences.
• Partner with Creative Director, Producers, Art Director, Marketing teams, and Designers to develop visual concepts from creative briefs through final production-ready artwork.
• Create retail merchandise artwork including apparel, souvenirs, collectibles, and custom products promoting Sight & Sound shows and films.
• Ensure all creative assets align with established brand standards and artistic direction.
• Perform advanced photo retouching, compositing, color correction, and image enhancement.
• Develop cinematic and theatrical promotional imagery from production photography and original illustration.
• Prepare and optimize imagery for print, web, social media, advertising, and large-format applications.
• Participate in concept development, brainstorming sessions, and creative reviews.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
• Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and digital art practices.
• All other duties as assigned.

Prerequisites

• Digital Painting: Strong understanding of digital painting and illustration workflows
• Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Cloud suite of software is required
• Imaging: Advanced photo retouching, compositing, and color-correction skills while understanding the post-production workflow
• Craftsmanship: Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
• Demonstrated portfolio showcasing digital painting, illustration, photo manipulation, and graphic design
• Passion for entertainment, visual storytelling, illustration, graphic design, and retail product design
• Knowledge of 3D software (Blender, Maya, or similar) would be a plus, but not required
• Knowledge of Motion Graphics software (After Effects or similar) would be a plus, but not required

The physical demands of this position are typical for a desk job. You will be at a desk most of the day, typically with the option to sit or stand. You may have to lift/exert up to 10 lbs. of force on occasion. The full physical requirements of this job are available upon request.

A valid driver's license may be required. This position may require the frequent operation of computers and other office productivity machinery.
