Togetherhood is building a vibrant marketplace where educators meet schools and communities in Washington, DC. We’re seeking an Illustration instructor to connect with K-12 students, delivering after-school sessions across schools and community venues.

You’ll design hands-on curriculum, lead weekly classes, and foster an inclusive, engaging learning space that motivates kids to explore comics and manga styles.

Qualifications

• Subject matter expertise in Creative Arts - Illustration.
• Experience building hands-on projects with kids.
• Ability to create a fun, structured, and inclusive classroom.
• Willingness to engage and motivate students.

Responsibilities

• Develop age-appropriate Creative Arts/Crafts curriculum for after-school students (Comics, Webcomics, Manga).
• Lead weekly in-person classes with enthusiasm and expertise.
• Establish a well-structured and lively classroom that keeps students engaged.
• Foster a positive, supportive learning environment for students of varying skill levels.
• Build connections with students in a warm and inclusive environment.
• Track student growth and offer constructive feedback.
