Job summary

DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a Cloud Network Architect to design, secure, and optimize IL5 AWS GovCloud network architectures for a large federal mission environment. The role focuses on VPC/VNet design, DNS architecture, and secure boundary design aligned with Zero Trust principles.

The Cloud Network Architect collaborates with cloud platform engineers, cybersecurity, and application teams to ensure compliant, resilient, and high-performing networks across enterprise cloud systems.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of cloud or enterprise network engineering experience.
• Experience designing IL5 cloud networks with VPC/VNet segmentation.
• Experience with DNS, routing, firewalls, and secure boundary design.
• Experience in IL5, federal or DoD environments.

Responsibilities

• Design IL5-compliant cloud network architectures with VPCs and subnets.
• Implement Zero Trust network security and east-west segmentation.
• Develop DNS architecture, routing flows, and secure naming conventions.
• Architect secure boundary protections including WAFs and firewalls.
• Lead hybrid-cloud and cross-account networking and connectivity.
• Support performance tuning, monitoring, and incident response.
