Job summary

The Jonus Group in Detroit, MI is seeking an experienced workers' compensation claims professional to evaluate and process IL/IN claims in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.

You will conduct thorough investigations, collaborate with medical professionals and legal teams, and negotiate settlements while keeping stakeholders updated. This role emphasizes staying current with industry trends and regulatory changes in workers' compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or related work experience.
• 3-5 years of experience handling IL/IN Workers Compensation/Indemnity claims.
• Active Adjuster's License is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and process Illinois and Wisconsin workers' compensation claims in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct thorough investigations to determine the validity of claims.
• Collaborate with medical professionals, legal teams, and other stakeholders to gather relevant information.
• Communicate effectively with claimants, employers, and insurance providers to provide updates and address inquiries.
• Negotiate settlements and manage litigation when necessary.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, legal changes, and best practices in workers' compensation.
