Job summary

First Quality is seeking an Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) Connectivity Leader for the Anderson, SC facility. The role designs and implements architectures connecting industrial devices, OT systems, and IT platforms to improve visibility, control, and operational performance.

The ideal candidate will guide IT/OT convergence, define reference architectures, and collaborate with engineering, operations, and cybersecurity teams to ensure secure, scalable, and reliable connected-device

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong OT environments understanding and IT systems knowledge.
• Proven IT/OT convergence experience with secure integration patterns.
• Familiarity with industrial protocols and edge computing concepts.
• Industrial cybersecurity considerations for connected devices.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end IIoT solutions bridging OT and IT systems.
• Define reference architectures, standards, and patterns for connectivity.
• Lead IT/OT convergence initiatives and create roadmaps.
• Collaborate on device connectivity strategies, data models, and edge-to-cloud flows.
• Design secure architectures aligned with cybersecurity best practices.
• Evaluate platforms, edge hardware/software and integration tools.
• Provide architecture guidance during design, pilots, and production rollout.
• Stay current with IIoT trends and translate to practical recommendations.
