Job summary

ServiceMaster Restore by CGI is seeking a Water Mitigation Technician for emergency response and on-site restoration in Texas. You will assess moisture, operate drying equipment, extract water, and coordinate with homeowners, adjusters, and project managers.

This role requires IICRC WRT certification, physical stamina, and the ability to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends. You will document every step with photos and logs, maintain safety and PPE compliance, and move contents as

Qualifications

• Prior water mitigation experience required; IICRC WRT certification required.
• Knowledge of drying principles and building materials.
• Ability to operate moisture meters, thermal imaging cameras, and extraction equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Able to lift 50+ pounds and work in physically demanding environments.

Key Responsibilities

Skills & Qualifications

Prior experience in water mitigation required (IICRC WTR Certification REQUIRED)

• Ability to work in physically demanding environments (lifting, crawling, standing for long periods)


• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record


• Able to pass a background check. No felonies!

Certifications (Preferred or Required)

• Water Restoration Technician (WRT) -Required


• Applied Structural Drying (ASD) - Preferred

Work Environment

• Exposure to water-damaged environments, including potential mold or contaminants


• Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE)


• Work may occur in confined spaces, attics, or crawlspaces


• Irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and emergency call-outs

Physical Requirements

• Lift and carry 50+ pounds regularly


• Ability to bend, kneel, and climb ladders


• Work in high heat or humid conditions during drying operations
