Job summary

OPTIMAL HOME CARE SERVICES is seeking a compassionate Homemaker to support a client by keeping a clean, safe and comfortable home, 6 hours per week as authorized.

You will perform light housekeeping, laundry, meal planning or shopping support if outlined in the client's care plan, declutter, run errands, and provide respectful, person-centered assistance to promote independence and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Performing light housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, and cleaning living areas to help maintain a clean and safe home environment.
• Conducting deep cleaning and decluttering as needed to address accumulated items and improve overall home organization.
• Assisting with laundry and linens, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing household textiles.
• Meal planning and preparation or supporting with grocery shopping if outlined in the client's care plan.
• Running errands and grocery shopping to support household needs when required.
• Helping maintain a clutter-free and organized living space, reducing safety hazards and supporting independence.
• Providing compassionate support and respectful interaction with the client to foster comfort and well-being.

Homemaking services have been authorized to ensure the client's living space is maintained and organized, with a focus on thorough cleaning and decluttering.
