Job summary

Meridian Services Incorporated is seeking an IHS Specialist to assist individuals in their personal residences or family homes in achieving personal goals. You will support with tasks like meal preparation, outings, shopping, cleaning, appointments, and community activities to promote independence.

The position emphasizes hands-on guidance, active participation in community-based goals, and transportation supervision to ensure safety and progress for clients in the Twin Cities area.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old to support Adult Programs.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.
• Must have a vehicle with current auto insurance.
• Must have a Wi‑Fi‑enabled device.
• Must pass DHS Background Study clearance.

Responsibilities

• Work on tailored outcomes with each person served. Outcomes may include budgeting, behavioral management, community exploration, meal planning, organizational skills, coping skills, and/or physical fitness
• Be an active participant with individuals served when working on outcomes and when out in the community
• Provide guidance and instructional teaching to persons served while building life skills
• Provide supervision and transportation in the community for activities and appointments.

Job Title: IHS Specialist

Location: Areas across Twin Cities area, Minneapolis and Saint Paul

Schedule: Monday-Friday; Guaranteed 20 or more hours per week. Flexible schedule to fit your needs!

Wage: $18.00 per hour including company benefits

Job Summary:

As an Individualized Home Support (IHS) Specialist, you will assist individuals in their personal residence or family home in working toward their personal goals. DSP staff support individuals with tasks such as meal preparation, community outings, shopping, cleaning, attending appointments, and other activities in their homes and communities.

Essential Job Duties:

• Work on tailored outcomes with each person served. Outcomes may include budgeting, behavioral management, community exploration, meal planning, organizational skills, coping skills, and/or physical fitness
• Be an active participant with individuals served when working on outcomes and when out in the community
• Provide guidance and instructional teaching to persons served while building life skills
• Provide supervision and transportation in the community for activities and appointments.

Required Qualifications:

• Staff must be at least 18 years of age to support Adult Programs
• Proficient in spoken and written English language
• Have a vehicle to use for work related purposes with current car insurance
• Have an acceptable driving record as determined by Meridian Services policy
• Have a Wi‑Fi‑enabled device for work related purposes
• Successful clearance of a Department of Human Services (DHS) Background Study

Preferred Experience:

• At least 1 year supporting individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities, and/or mental health diagnosis
