Labcorp in Torrance, CA is seeking an Advanced Staining Assay Validation Specialist to lead immunohistochemistry and in-situ hybridization validation efforts, develop methods, and ensure compliance with GxP, CAP, and CLIA standards.

The role focuses on planning, testing, reporting, data analysis, and documentation, supporting validation projects from start to finish with collaboration across global teams. Pay ranges $25–$39.38/hour with full benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• 1 year experience in assay validation or related histology lab work
• 1 year histology exposure

Responsibilities

• Execute IHC and ISH assay validation and verification experiments
• Demonstrate working knowledge of IHC/ISH autostainers and equipment
• Support development and writing of validation plans, reports, SOPs, and study forms
• Perform data analysis and documentation
• Prepare client-facing materials
• Maintain and organize validation documentation
• Organize and scan slides per protocols
• Provide status updates to staff and lead scientists
• Train lab staff on new methods and communicate findings
• Perform validation-related testing and proficiency testing
• Prepare samples including decalcification, embedding, and microtomy
