ProPath Services, LLC in Dallas, TX is seeking a Histology Laboratory Professional to support immunohistochemistry workflows. You will prepare slides, run IHC-related stains, and contribute to patient care through precise lab work.

Qualifications

• BS in biology, chemistry, other sciences.
• A minimum of 2 years histology laboratory experience with IHC training.
• Certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or equivalent preferred.
• Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to operate general laboratory equipment and follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Prepare slides for Immunohistochemistry (IHC), In Situ Hybridization (ISH) and immunofluorescence, manually and with automation.
• Performs and documents scheduled preventative maintenance.
• Recognize when troubleshooting is needed for processing, embedding, cutting, and staining.
• Work in a fast-paced laboratory with biological and chemical hazards.
• Champion safety, compliance, and quality control.

Days: Monday - Friday
Hours: 12:00 am - 8:30 am
Full-time: Benefit Eligible

Job Duties:

• Perform a vital part of the patient care process from preparing slides for Immunohistochemistry, In Situ Hybridization and Immunofluorescence. and IHC/ISH special stain procedures both manually and with automation.
• Performs and documents scheduled preventative maintenance
• Recognize when troubleshooting is needed for processing, embedding, cutting, staining
• Work in a fast-paced laboratory environment with biological and chemical hazards
• Champion safety, compliance, and quality control

All you need is:

• BS in biology, chemistry, other sciences
• A Minimum of 2 year of Histology laboratory experience with IHC training
• Certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or equivalent preferred
• Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to operate general laboratory equipment, including but not limited to: telephones, computers, automated analyzers, centrifuges, microscopes, manual and automated pipettes, and audible alarms
