Job summary

Sonic Healthcare USA is seeking a Histology professional for our Dallas, TX facility. You will prepare slides for IHC, ISH, and IF, perform staining and embedding, and help ensure accurate results while maintaining safety and quality standards.

This role includes routine maintenance and working with hazardous materials on a 3rd shift schedule. The ideal candidate has a BS in biology or chemistry, at least two years of histology experience with IHC training, and is comfortable operating standard

Qualifications

• BS in biology, chemistry or related sciences.
• Minimum 2 years histology lab experience with IHC training.
• ASCP certification or equivalent preferred.
• Strong reading, writing and analytical skills.
• Ability to operate general lab equipment including analyzers, microscopes and pipettes.

Responsibilities

• Perform a vital part of the patient care process from preparing slides for Immunohistochemistry, In Situ Hybridization and Immunofluorescence and IHC/ISH stains.
• Performs and documents scheduled preventative maintenance.
• Recognize when troubleshooting is needed for processing, embedding, cutting, staining.
• Work in a fast-paced laboratory environment with biological and chemical hazards.
• Champion safety, compliance and quality control.
