Job summary

Jobsonboard is seeking a highly skilled Ignition Architect to lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced SCADA solutions in a manufacturing environment. You will translate complex operational requirements into scalable Ignition architectures and guide cross-functional teams from site assessment to production rollout.

The role emphasizes reliability, efficiency, and data-driven insights, with hands-on design of Tag Providers, gateways, PLC integration, and dashboards to visualize

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 1+ year experience in a similar role (10+ years strongly preferred).
• Hands-on Ignition SCADA architecture and system design experience.
• Active Ignition Gold Certification is highly preferred.
• Proven PLC integration with multiple industrial protocols.
• Strong IT/OT convergence and industrial data flow knowledge.
• Proficiency in Python scripting within Ignition.
• Experience in manufacturing environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design robust Ignition SCADA systems, including Tag Providers, gateways, and enterprise/edge deployments
• Conduct site surveys to evaluate machine connectivity and data integration readiness
• Define and implement IT/OT integration strategies across multiple PLC platforms
• Develop and maintain Python scripts within the Ignition environment
• Design and implement database interfaces, historians, and reporting solutions
• Build intuitive dashboards to visualize plant KPIs, OEE, and operational performance
• Lead project execution, collaborating with distributed engineering teams and stakeholders
• Provide technical guidance, documentation, and continuous system improvements
